The 'Global Infrared Mammary Tester Report 2007' shows that in 2007 there were more than 4 million infrared mammary testing performed in Europe, and China, 7 million. However, Over 5 million women aged forty or above annually undergo breast examinations, resulting in as many as 41 million annually to be interpreted. Twenty percent of these show some abnormality, with most case undergoing a second test and about 1% undergoing biopsies.
